tribunal de Bobigny vient de nous annoncer le report du procès BDS du 20
octobre, pour cause de maladie du juge. Juste avant cette annonce,
l’avocat de l’une des parties civiles avait demandé le report pour motif
religieux.
De toute
évidence, le lobby israélien et le gouvernement ne se sentent pas trop
le vent en poupe, non seulement parce que l’image d’Israël n’est guère
au "au top" en ce moment, mais également après une révélation, qui fait
scandale.
En effet, la participation à la demande du gouvernement, du "Défenseur des droits", Dominique Baudis à l’accusation des quatre militants de la campagne BDS fait désordre. Le parti-pris israélien d’une institution censée défendre les citoyens a choqué plus d’un magistrat, sans parler des journalistes qui ont reçu le communiqué que vous lirez ci-dessous.
Une date ultérieure devra donc être fixée, sans doute l’année prochaine. En attendant, la campagne BDS se développe en France et dans le monde.

Procès BDS de Bobigny : le « Défenseur des Droits » au secours du gouvernement israélien
L’acharnement et l’intimidation contre les militants de la campagne BDS (Boycott, Désinvestissement, Sanctions) se poursuivent malgré le jugement de la 17me Chambre correctionnelle du tribunal de Paris, qui a estimé, le 8 juillet dernier, parfaitement légal le boycott des produits israéliens*.
Mais le gouvernement français, sans doute mal à l’aise après un tel jugement, ne fut pas dépourvu quand la bise fut venue : pour le procès du 20 octobre prochain à Bobigny, il vient de faire entrer dans l’arène le nouveau "Défenseur des Droits" ... au profit du gouvernement israélien !
Cette institution censément indépendante, dont la mission officielle est de protéger le citoyen contre l’arbitraire des pouvoirs politique, administratif ou économique, vient d’être appelée en renfort par le procureur du tribunal de Bobigny, afin d’obtenir la condamnation de Maha, Mohamed, Olivia et Ulrich, accusés de "discrimination contre la nation israélienne", pour avoir appelé au boycott des produits exportés par Israël dans différents supermarchés de la région parisienne début 2009, au lendemain du massacre de civils palestiniens par l’armée israélienne, dans la bande de Gaza.
Il est vrai que le patron de cet organisme n’est autre que Dominique Baudis, ex-parlementaire UMP, qui n’a rien à refuser ni au gouvernement ni aux officines israéliennes, puisqu’il fait partie, de longue date, du Comité d’Honneur de l’association France-Israël, présidée par l’avocat Gilles-William Goldnadel, elle-même partie civile contre les quatre militants qui comparaîtront à Bobigny la semaine prochaine.
Tout de même, cela fait désordre. D’autant que Monsieur Baudis n’a apparemment pas lésiné avec l’argent des contribuables. Plutôt que de faire appel à ses propres juristes, il a en effet sollicité le cabinet d’avocats le plus cher de Paris.
Le cabinet Gide-Loyrette-Nouel, qui se flatte d’être le plus gros cabinet d’affaires de la place, avec 600 collaborateurs et 24 bureaux dans le monde, n’a pas pour vocation de défendre la veuve et l’orphelin, mais plutôt des multinationales ou des gouvernements, y compris parmi les plus sulfureux. On doit par exemple au cabinet Gide-Loyerette-Nouel le montage d’un financement de 600 millions de dollars au bénéfice de la famille de l’ex-dictateur tunisien Ben Ali, avant la chute de celui-ci.
Quant au collaborateur retenu par le cabinet pour assister le procureur à Bobigny, une recherche sur Google conduit à une page où il se présente comme un avocat spécialiste … « du droit franco-israélien ». Tout un programme.
Moralité ? N’en cherchez pas !
Ce sont les Palestiniens qui sont boycottés, assiégés, privés d’Etat, mais le gouvernement français choisit de poursuivre ceux qui dénoncent l’occupation et la colonisation. Il ne craint pas pour cela d’instrumentaliser les lois françaises sur les discriminations, pour tenter d’inverser les rôles et faire de l’Etat d’Israël la victime.
Non content de mobiliser des dizaines de tribunaux dans toute la France pour essayer d’empêcher le boycott du seul Etat d’Israël (on peut appeler sans risque au boycott du Mexique, de la Chine, de l’Iran ou de n’importe quel autre pays), Sarkozy fait appel à son ami qui avait juré ses grands dieux, en juin dernier, au moment de sa nomination quelque peu controversée, de faire preuve d’indépendance !

Our BDS trial due on October 20 has just been postponed by the court. They announced that the judge is sick. A few days before one of the Israeli association’s lawyer had asked for a postponement, for "religious reasons".
Obviously, the government and the Israeli lobby do not feel very comfortable presently, not only because Israel’s image is quite damaged at this time, but also because we had just revealed a scandal* about this trial, with the incredible participation, on the side of the prosecution i.e. Israel, of a French institution supposed to defend French citizens who are victims of discrimination and injustice from the state or other economical and institutional bodies.
The new date for the trial has not been decided yet, but it will probably take place next year. In the meantime the BDS campaign goes on ! And instead of going to Bobigny next Thursday we invite you to join us on the same day for a cheerful BDS picnic and for the launch of the new "Welcome to Palestine 2012" mission !

Lawsuit against BDS : the “Defender of Rights” assists the Israeli government
The hounding and intimidation of the BDS (Boycott, Disinvestment, Sanctions) campaign activists continue in spite of the ruling given by the tribunal of the 17th magistrate’s court of the Paris law courts, which considered it perfectly legal to boycott Israeli products*.
Yet the French government, probably uneasy after such a ruling, was not “caught off his guard when the North wind came” : for the lawsuit on 20 October in Bobigny, it has just got the new “Defender of Rights” into the arena… in aid of the Israeli government !
This supposedly independent institution whose official mission is the protection of citizens against the arbitrariness of political, administrative or economic powers, has just been called as reinforcement by the Bobigny prosecutor, so as to obtain the conviction of Maha, Mohamed, Olivia and Ulrich, accused of “discrimination against the Israeli nation”, after calling for the boycott of products exported by Israel into various supermarkets in the Paris area, early in 2009 in the days following the massacre of Palestinian civilians by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.
It is true that the head of this body is none other than Dominique Baudis, former UMP member of parliament, who just can’t say no to the Israeli government or its agencies, since he has long been a member of the Honorary Committee of the France-Israel association chaired by the lawyer Gilles-William Goldnadel, itself associated with the public prosecutor against the four activists who will appear in the Bobigny court next week.
All the same, it does not look good : Especially as Monsieur Baudis has used all the taxpayers’ money at his disposal.
Rather than calling on his own lawyers, he has approached the most expensive law firm in Paris.
The Gide-Loyrette-Nouel firm, which prides itself on being the most important business consultancy on the market, with 600 partners and 24 offices throughout the world, has no vocation for defending the widow and the orphan, rather multinationals or governments, including those among the most nefarious. For example, the Gide-Loyrette-Nouel firm is credited for gathering the sum of 600 million dollars for the family of the former Tunisian dictator Ben Ali, before his fall from power.
As for the member of the firm chosen to assist the prosecutor in Bobigny, a Google search takes you to a page where he introduces himself as a lawyer specialising … “in Franco-Israeli law”. The perfect programme.
Morality ? Don’t bother to look !
The Palestinians are the ones boycotted, besieged and without a state, but the French government chooses to prosecute those who denounce the occupation and colonisation. It does not hesitate to exploit the French laws on discriminations, in order to attempt to reverse roles and transform the state of Israel into the victim.
Not content with mobilizing dozens of courts everywhere in France to try and prevent the boycott of the one State of Israel (we can safely call for the boycott of Mexico, China, Iran or any other country), Sarkozy calls on his friend who had sworn by all the gods, last June, at the time of his somewhat controversial appointment, that he would show his independence !
